She looks really sad but honestly she likes her crate. Well, at night time. During the day she still isn't a huge fan, but we're working on that. She is getting better.

For the first time yesterday, hazel got hold of something she shouldn't have and gave it a good chew.

It's a shame that the left side of her face is so shadowed, but I still think it is cute :) Then again, I think *all* pictures of Hazel are cute.

In other news, look at how well she is not chewing her lead :D

We are introducing Hazel to hear lead. As you can see, when she first gets it on she thinks it is a new chew toy. She also tries to run around while holding it in her mouth, tripping herself up. We are trying to ignore it and get her to play with some other toys/eat with it on, which she eventually does. Yay ignore!

Hazel's favorite pastime, once she has pottied, is ripping the bark off of the stumps in our garden. She has almost achieved her original goal of stripping them, and has even begun the second step of gnawing them down to nothing.
