We have been working on riding in the car. We want her to learn to ride in the backseat by herself. We have started off with her riding in the back next to me. At the moment she is very interested in sniffing around and nearly falling off the seat, but we'll get there.

On the day that we brought Hazel home, if she wasn't sleeping, she was climbing up my shoulder. I figured she wanted to see the back seat.
Then, when we were walking home from the vet the other day whenever a buss went by, or when there was a fire truck, she did it again. I think it is because she gets scared.
Anyway, she is a little monkey. It is ever so slightly annoying.

Hazel is approaching a size that will make lap-napping very uncomfortable. This saddens me.
When she falls asleep on my lap I try to flip her op ear open to give it some air as springers are prone to infection. She looks silly though :)

Yesterday was what we thought would be Hazel's first puppy party, but apparently the nurses accidentally gave us the wrong day--next week is week one, this week was week 6 of the last group. This meant loads of big puppies, but Hazel held her own. She certainly does not lack in confidence.

Easter Monday is a holiday here, so we spent much of the day cuddling and doing nothing. It was nice.

Yesterday was Easter, so we went to Dave's sister's house for dinner. Also there were Josh, Meg, Sally, and all their human counterparts. These were the first non-springers that Hazel ever met! She was very brave and the day went very well.
In the picture, Hazel was eating her lunch and had to be kept away from the big dogs who only get breakfast and dinner, but Meg wanted some noms, and Hazel wanted some plays!
