Snowball!, originally uploaded by missjoules.
Here we are, Hazel and teh snowball.
So, I'm supposed to try to eat these white bits that fall from the sky, right?
Hazel is smitten with the snow now that she has gotten used to it. She loves trying to catch snowballs. I shall go and find a video for you as you have been beautiful and patient while waiting for photos.
Hazel's first snow! There wasn't much but it was enough to confuse her a bit. She was out to sniff and back in in about a half a second, but she eventually went out for a potty.
Hazel spent some extra time in her crate while Dave and I had a snuggle because it was our first wedding anniversary... How weird.
Hazel as table. Haze napped in my lap while I worked on one of dave's Christmas presents. Just don't tell him :D
The repairman came and exploded lovely dirty radiator water all over, even into the light switches, so we were without light for a few days. Shame there is no puppy-assisted-light.
I was trying to show you how mucky she was but you can't really tell. She has pretty legs though, and you can see her beautiful extra dew claw there, which could do with a trim.
Our boiler was broken and we were without heat or hot water for a few days. We were okay though because as you can see, we had puppy-assisted-heating.
What do you mean, I have a leaf on my nose? Don't you think I would *know* if I had a leaf on my nose?
We learned the other day that Hazel is capable of jumping over the baby gate when she jumped over something else that was the same height. However: when she was a small puppy Dave may have knocked the baby gate down the stairs while she was halfway up. She didn't even get touched by it but to this day she is terrified of the thing, so she doesn't jump it. Which is kind of good, or would be if she was less scarred for life.
These are Hazel's new trainering people, they are a million times better than the last. Here they are teaching Hazel "hello," she is meant to sit when someone says it to her. She still gets a bit overexcited though and it takes a few minutes of running around like a mad little monkey before she is calmed down enough to hear that we are saying hello.
Haze started getting really runny eyes this day, we think it is because of the cold. Looks a little icky. although this is a poor photo.
If you look closely you can see that Hazel has splattered splashes of mucky water all up the wall in the not-even-complete living room. It had been painted the day before. How I love her.
Hazel spent about an hour and a half trying to get all the blended meat/gluten free bread out of her kong.
I was trying to get Hazel to eat. This is going to sound crazy but she needs a warm up sometimes. Anyway, I tossed a few pieces to her after she hadn't eaten all day and it seemed to remind her that she was hungry and she ate the rest from the dish. This is her catching a piece, it is sadly the least blurry photo.
Hazel has taken to hiding under the bed. She just likes to be under things. She's usually being naughty down there.
I had to go to the jaw doctor (ouch). We left Hazel with an ear which she never ate until we got home and she had had a good 30 minute cuddle. Then it was gone.
This day Hazel limped for about 5 minutes. She got a bit of a paw bath to make sure there wasn't anything serious going on. We assume she just slipped on some wet leaves or something because it was gone about 5 minutes after she got home.
I know, it's been a while. I had a cold. Lame. No excuse. I still have pictures though :D
Anyway. Here's a picture from day number 234.
Shredded toilet paper roll. She got one on her first day here and they are still on of her favorite things, although these days it takes more like 3 minutes to shred and not the 3 days it first took her.
That white speck on hazel's nose that you see is part of Hazel's food bowl. Yeah. That chewing noise was *not* on her rawhide...
Hazel tired after her puppy class all cuddled up with me as I read the handbook. Good times.
Hazel won piggy ears in a photo competition. It is difficult, but she can manage to sit and stay and not go after them... for a few seconds.
What is that noise I keep hearing? It needs barking at.
((In other news, it is bonfire *night* not bonfire week. Enough already with the fireworks!))
We went to Dave's sister's bonfire night party on Friday evening. I forgot the camera :( Needless to say Hazel was freaked out by the fireworks and far too excited by the many people there. It was a long night.
Hazel was in a photo competition on a springer forum and won the puppy section. The prize? A large sack o' pigs ears. This was probably the happiest she has ever been to see the mail man.
Hazel was signed up for more training classes! New people because we were not in love with the last ones. It is really about time, and they start Wednesday.
I had dropped my keys in the park when playing with Hazel. We went for a walk a few days later and there was a sign up about found keys and they turned out to be ours. Yay!
Our living room got a base coat. Hazel sat out in the hallway and howled. It was a very long day for everyone.
This is a project 365 photoblog for our puppy, Hazel.
