My finger nails have developed lots of white spots on them from Hazel biting them. It is mostly from teaching her to walk on her lead, which involves chicken or cheese, which she gets rather excited about. I will be quite pleased when they grow out... in three years or so :P

I had some actually quite good photos from this day--it was the Day that Hazel took to squeezing herself beneath all kinds of fun things--the bed and end tables as well as limboing beneath the lowest rail on the clothes drying rack & toppling it over. It was the first day she was allowed in while I was hanging up the washing. Probably the last as well.
In any case, I thought this was just rather amusing and you fine folks are stuck with what I like :D

I was doing so well!
My husband suggests that I tack on two extra days to the end of the year to make up for missing a day. Well, first he suggested tampering with the date :P. Any suggestions for a proper punishment?

Hazel, on the phone with my little brother back in New York. I think it may have freaked her out a little bit.

We went to Dave's sister's house on Sunday the 12th and had a bbq/birthday shindig. Hazel loved playing with meg and Sally and (as always) weed on the floor as soon as we got in. Sigh. We must figure out why she does that--and only at Amanda's house!

We went to a place we had heard about, which turned out to be a large mostly-enclosed field. Hazel had a ball and we met another very sweet springer called Daisy. It appears that they had just mown the grass and Hazel got covered while snuffling around.
